There is a moment in each of our lives that we stop what we are doing and realize that we have discovered something unique and exciting. We’ve been doing it ever since we were babies, the discovering of a shiny rock in a bed of pebbles, a unique flower amongst a sea of wildflowers, or a strange characteristic only your friends possess. Sometimes we keep the discovery to ourselves, while other times we can’t wait to share our find with others. But the discovery is unique to us, as we have never seen it before and it fills our minds with questions and excitement.
With the new year ahead, the path to new discoveries lies in front of us. For me, I can’t wait to see what is in store for me as I go about my day. I can’t wait to see if my discoveries will warrant a mention or will remain simmering in my head for a later date. But this is true, my discoveries have brought about this new blog series, A Year of Discoveries. Each week I will write a quick 3 to 4 minute read about my new find, and encourage you, the reader, to comment on my new discovery. I hope you will enjoy these simple posts that will be insightful, encouraging, and surprising as we travel through the year.
There’s a whole world out there to discover. Take time to look around you, listen more closely. You’ll become a better person because your world has grown since you dared to explore.
